Kaduvetti Guru, self declared `Thalapathi' of Vanniars has been arrested on July 5. The charge is not serious as told by the Tamilnadu CM Mr Karunanidhi few weeks back that Guru had threatened to eliminate Central Minister Raja and local MLA Sivasankar. Though CM himself is having the evidence for it, which he had confessed before presspersons, the police are yet to act on it. Guru is arrested based on a complaint by local AIADMK man. This may not be strong case against him. This govt seems to go soft towards Ramdoss.
The prime question here is, why the govt not acts on the conspiracy to kill central minister?
2. Tamilosai - a Tamil daily run by PMK founder Ramdoss has published an article on 6.7.08 that TN Minister Nehru and others had threatened to sever the tongues of MDMK men, if they speak ill about CM. Again, this artcile has not denied about the speech of Guru. Instead it tries to project a figure that nobody in politics is clean. Ofcourse, it is true. But that can not be the reason to allow Guru scot free.
Had AMMA (Ms Jayalalithaa) was in power now, this type of inflammatory speeches would not have happened. Because everybody knows, AMMA is strong on the stand she chooses - whether it is good or bad. AMMA is AMMA for that matter.
